Day 1
Arrive Vienna
Welcome to Vienna, best described as Europe’s cultural capital. On arrival at the airport, you will be transfered to your hotel by a private vehicle. Upon reaching your hotel, check-in and relax as rest of the evening is free at leisure to explore the city on your own. Overnight stay at your hotel in Vienna. Vienna is the capital and largest city of Austria. Situated in the North-East of Austria, Vienna lies on the banks of the majestic Danube river. Surrounded by the natural beauty of the Wachau region, the Vienna woods ('Wiener Wald') and with numerous green expanses and parks Vienna is an exceptionally agreeable city. Vienna is packed with imperial history; at the same time, it has exciting contemporary museums, lively eating and nightlife scenes, and many quiet corners to explore.
Day 2
Vienna: Visit Schonbrunn Palace
After breakfast at the hotel. Proceed to visit the Schönbrunn Palace. Schönbrunn Palace is one of Austria’s most important cultural assets, and since the 1960s has been one of Vienna’s major tourist attractions, drawing millions of visitors each year. Schönbrunn Palace was the main summer residence of the Habsburg rulers, located in Hietzing, Vienna. The name Schönbrunn has its roots in an artesian well from which water was consumed by the court. Day 3
Visit Sisi Museum, Hofburg and Gardens
After breakfast at the hotel. Proceed to visit Sisi Museum, Hofburg and Gardens. At the Sisi Museum you will see over 300 personal items that belonged to Empress Elizabeth (Sisi), including her dresses, parasols, gloves, and beauty preparations. It illustrates Sisi’s cult of beauty and obsession with being slim and athletic. The Hofburg is the former principal imperial palace of the Habsburg dynasty in Austria. Located in the centre of Vienna, it was built in the 13th century and expanded several times afterwards. It also served as the imperial winter residence, as Schönbrunn Palace was the summer residence. Overnight stay at hotel in Vienna.
Day 4
Vienna to Salzburg
Breakfast at the hotel. Proceed to Salzburg from Vienna via Train. Check in at the hotel. Freshen up and relax. Overnight stay at hotel in Salzburg. Salzburg is storybook Austria. Standing beside the fast-flowing Salzach River, your gaze is raised inch by inch to the Altstadt’s mosaic of graceful domes and spires, the formidable cliff-top fortress and the mountains beyond. It’s a view that never palls. It’s a backdrop that once did the lordly prince-archbishops and home-grown genius Mozart proud. As tempting as it is to spend every minute in the Unesco-listed Altstadt, drifting from one baroque church and monumental square to the next in a daze of grandeur, Salzburg rewards those who venture further. Give Getreidegasse’s throngs the slip, meander side streets where classical music wafts from open windows, linger decadently over coffee and cake, and let Salzburg slowly, slowly work its magic.
Day 5
Vienna – Original Sound of Music Tour
Breakfast at the hotel. Proceed for Original sound of music tour. Relive your favorite scenes from the classic musical "The Sound of Music" on this Salzburg sightseeing tour. Visit filming sites around the city while your guide provides historical background on Salzburg’s top attractions and architectural jewels, including the gazebo where "Sixteen Going on Seventeen" was shot. See the beautiful Mirabell Gardens where the song "Do-Re-Mi" was filmed exploring the Pegasus Fountain as well as the Do-Re-Mi steps. Enjoy the breathtaking view during a photo stop at Lake Leopoldskron mirroring the palace, where the famous boating scene was filmed. Overnight stay at hotel in Vienna.
Day 6
Vienna to Innsbruck
After enjoying buffet breakfast at the hotel. Later, check–out and reach station on your own to board the train to Innsbruck. On arrival at Innsbruck station, make your own way to the hotel. Innsbruck offers a combination of culture, history and timeless beauty of mountains. Upon reaching your hotel, check-in and relax and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at your hotel in Innsbruck. Tyrol’s capital is a sight to behold. The jagged rock spires of the Nordkette range are so close that within minutes it’s possible to travel from the city's heart to over 2000m above sea level and alpine pastures where cowbells chime. Innsbruck is in many ways Austria in microcosm: its late-medieval Altstadt is picture-book stuff, presided over by a grand Habsburg palace and baroque cathedral, while its Olympic ski jump with big mountain views make a spectacular leap between the urban and the outdoors.
Day 7
Innsbruck - Swarovski Crystal World
After enjoying buffet breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a unique visit to the amazing and sparking world of Crystals, created for you by Swarovski! This tour will take you to explore the fantastic and sparkling world of Swarovski. Aboard a fast and comfortable coach from central Innsbruck and you will be taken to the world famous Swarovski Crystal World, situated in Wattens. Working in collaboration with artists from throughout the globe and internationally renowned architects, a park landscape is emerging on 7.5 hectares of land surrounding the iconic Giant. The Crystal Cloud consists of approximately 600,000 hand-mounted Swarovski crystals. A descending path draws visitors into the Mirror Pool where the crystals' light is captured like stars shimmering in the night sky , even in daylight. Overnight stay at your hotel in Innsbruck.
Day 8
Depart Vienna
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Later, check–out and transfer to the airport by a private vehicle for your flight to onwards destination or back to India with memories which will last a life time. *** END OF TOUR ***

A Viennese Kaffeehaus is not a place to grab and go. You order one coffee, are brought a glass of water with it, and may sit for hours with a newspaper. The waiters won't rush you or hover with the bill. Order by name: a Melange is the milky one, an Einspänner comes under whipped cream. This is half of what Vienna is for.

The film tour, Mirabell Gardens, the lake country, the gazebo. Runs out of Salzburg, not Vienna, and Austrians find foreigners' love of it gently baffling, since the film is barely known here. It is genuinely scenic and good fun if you love the movie; skip it without guilt if you don't, and just walk Salzburg's old town instead.

Vienna, Salzburg and Innsbruck are strung along a fast, punctual rail line, and the trains are far nicer than the drive. Salzburg to Innsbruck runs through alpine valleys worth the window seat. Book the ÖBB tickets a few weeks ahead for the cheaper Sparschiene fares, and you'll never need a car for this route.

When to Go
Austria has two seasons worth travelling for. May to September is the green window. Warm city days, the alpine valleys open for walking, the lakes swimmable in high summer; July and August are busiest. December to March is the ski season, when Innsbruck and the Tyrol come into their own and Vienna glitters with Christmas markets. April and late October to November are the quiet, muddy shoulders between the two.
