on how we work.
Tibro has been routing China since 2018. Seven years of Beijing-Xi'an-Shanghai weeks and the occasional Guilin-and-Yangtze River cruise additions.
We work with a Beijing-based partner who handles the visa logistics and the rail tickets between the three main cities.
One route is what we currently maintain. The classic-China eight-night is the one we offer; we route Beijing first because the Wall sets the right tone for the rest of the trip.

Three Beijing, two Xi'an, three Shanghai. The Mutianyu Wall morning at six AM, on a section the studio's guide had recommended for being less restored, was the trip's first photograph. The Terracotta Warriors at nine AM in the cool was the second.

China with Guilin, eleven nights, April 2024
Classic plus three Guilin nights. The Li River cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo at first light was the most quiet landscape we have seen in years. The contrast with Shanghai's Pudong skyline two days later was the trip's full range.
