Georgia is the cradle of wine. Eight thousand years of kvevri-clay-amphora vinification. And Tbilisi is the warm-sulfur capital with one of the Caucasus's most beautiful old towns. Three Tbilisi days, two Kakheti wine, two Kazbegi mountain. Best between May and October. Often combined with Armenia on the Caucasus three-country loop.

A small note
on how we work.
Tibro has been routing Georgia since 2019. Six years of Tbilisi old-town walks, Kakheti kvevri cellar tastings, and the Caucasus three-country loops that close many regional trips.
We work with a Tbilisi-based partner who handles the wine-country logistics and the Kazbegi mountain drives.
Two routes is what we currently maintain. The Tbilisi-Kakheti-Kazbegi six-night is the most-requested; we route the wine country between the city and the mountain so the trip lands on the Caucasus peaks at the right pace.

Three Tbilisi nights, two Kakheti, one Stepantsminda. The Kakheti kvevri tasting was an underground-cellar afternoon with a family that has worked the same vineyard for four generations. The Gergeti Trinity Church at six AM on day six was the trip's loudest silence.

Caucasus three-country, ten nights, May 2024
Tbilisi, Yerevan, Baku. Land crossings handled by the studio at both borders. The Kakheti wine afternoon in Georgia and the Khor Virap monastery view of Ararat from Armenia were the two photographs the trip will be remembered for.
