Zimbabwe is most often visited for one reason. Victoria Falls, called Mosi-oa-Tunya in Shona, the smoke that thunders. Hwange National Park for the bush, Mana Pools for the wilderness specialists. Two falls days, three Hwange days, and the safari-and-falls arc lands at five to seven nights. Best between May and October when the falls have water and the bushveld is dry.

on how we work.
Tibro has been routing Zimbabwe since 2020. Five years of Victoria Falls hotels, Hwange private-concession safaris, and the falls-into-Cape-Town arcs that close many southern-Africa trips.
We work with a Victoria-Falls-based partner who handles the hotel-and-park logistics and a Hwange concession lodge team on retainer for the safari nights.
Two routes is what we currently maintain. The falls-and-Hwange six-night is the most-requested; we route the bush AFTER the falls because arriving at the lodge with the spray already in the camera reads as the right opening.

Falls & Hwange, six nights, September 2024
Two falls nights at a hotel ten minutes from the spray, three at a Hwange concession lodge. The Devil's Pool morning the studio routed at low-water was the trip's spectacle; the Hwange three days were the working safari that paid for it. We came home wanting Mana Pools next.

Three Zim, seven Cape. The Victoria Falls helicopter Tibro routed on day two. The Flight of Angels. Gave us the falls from above before we walked them from the rim. The transition into South Africa was seamless.
