Arrive Nairobi – Amboseli National Park
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be warmly welcomed by our local representative. After a brief introduction and assistance with your luggage, embark on a scenic drive to Amboseli National Park, located approximately 4 hours away. As you journey through the picturesque Kenyan countryside, enjoy views of traditional villages, open savannahs, and the majestic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro on the horizon. Upon arrival in Amboseli, proceed to your lodge for check-in. Take some time to relax and enjoy lunch
Day 3
Amboseli to Nairobi – Giraffe Centre
After an early breakfast at the lodge, check out and embark on a scenic drive back to Nairobi, a journey of approximately 4 hours. Enjoy the changing landscapes along the way as you leave the tranquil plains of Amboseli behind and head towards the bustling capital city of Kenya. Upon arrival in Nairobi, check in at your hotel and take some time to relax and unwind after your journey. You may enjoy lunch at your leisure at the hotel or at one of the many local restaurants offering a variety of cuisines. In the late afternoon, set out for a visit to the Giraffe Centre, a conservation and education center located in the leafy suburb of Lang’ata. The Giraffe Centre is home to the endangered Rothschild's giraffe, and you’ll have the unique opportunity to observe, interact with, and even hand-feed these gentle giants from a raised platform. The visit also includes insights into the center's conservation efforts and the chance to explore the surrounding nature trail. Begin your day with a delightful breakfast at the lodge, energizing you for a full day of adventure in the heart of Masai Mara National Reserve. Set off for an early morning game drive, one of the best times to witness the reserve’s incredible wildlife as the animals are most active during the cooler hours. Watch for predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs on the hunt, as well as grazing herds of zebras, elephants, giraffes, and wildebeest. Return to your lodge for a relaxing lunch and a short break, allowing you to rest and enjoy the serene surroundings. In the afternoon, head out again for another exciting game drive, exploring different areas of the reserve to increase your chances of spotting a wide variety of animals. The Masai Mara is famous for its vast open plains, dramatic landscapes, and extraordinary density of wildlife, making each game drive a unique and unforgettable experience. Return to your lodge by evening, where a delicious dinner awaits. Share stories of the day’s sightings with fellow travelers, or simply relax and enjoy the tranquil sounds of the African night. Depart Masai Mara to Nairobi
This Day marks the end of your safari. After breakfast leave Maasai mara for Nairobi. Late July through September is when the herds cross the Mara River. Most tours skip the prime crossing windows by camping too far upstream. Tibro's Mara nights are timed for it. If you can travel in August, do.

Nairobi sits at 1,795 metres. Coming from Mumbai or Delhi, expect a slightly thin head for 24 hours and drink more water than feels normal. Skip the Tusker your first night; pick it up at the Mara.

The Nairobi-to-Mara road is five hours of corrugated dirt. The light aircraft from Wilson Airport does it in fifty minutes for around USD 250 each way. Worth every shilling unless you specifically want to see rural Kenya pass the window.

When to Go
Kenya runs on two dry seasons and two rain seasons. June to October is the long dry. Golden grass, wildebeest crossings, the iconic safari window. January to February is a quieter shoulder with clear skies and far fewer vehicles. The long rains (March-May) are when most camps close.
Tibro books Mara nights in the wildebeest window when you ask for it; in shoulder months we shift you toward Samburu or Amboseli for fewer vehicles and equally good big-cat sightings.
