Arrive Peru!! Bienvenidos! Welcome to Lima, Peru's largest city and central metropolitan hub, and home to one-third of the country's population. Located at the site of a pre-Columbian indigenous Ychsma settlement, which was conquered by the Inca empire in the 15th century and later by the Spanish conquistadores, Lima has a fascinating history and a diverse mix of cultures. Amerindian, European, Afro-Peruvian, and Asian. Especially Chinese and Japanese. Influences make Lima a dynamic and exciting city to explore. Overnight stay at your hotel at Rima.

Lima City of the Kings and Catacombs Tour – Tour Duration 3 hours 30 minutes (B) Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. We will pick you up from your hotel to start the activity. We will go to the historic center of Lima, a place declared by UNESCO as a “World Heritage Site”. Our first stop is at Plaza San Martín, a wonderful place designed and built to celebrate 100 years of independence from Spain. After that, we started walking through many popular streets where we can see the contrast between colonial churches, mansions, balconies and modern stores. This is a combination that will make you enjoy this ride! We visit the catacombs! Spanish cemeteries built under colonial churches are something you cannot miss. Dare to walk through the cemetery and learn about the fascinating history of colonial Lima! We finish the tour visiting the Plaza de Armas where we can see the Government Palace, Archbishop’s Palace and City Hall of Lima.

Lima – Cusco by Fligth (B) Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport to board a flight to Cusco. Arrive Cusco and transfer to your hotel.

Sacred Valley tour including Buffet Lunch (B) Breakfast at the hotel, after breakfast we will proceed to enjoy full day tour sacred valley. you will have the opportunity to enjoy the fabulous sacred valley of the incas on your own way acompanied of a professional tour guide, since this is a private activity, you willl have enought time to enjoy each place and avoid the big groups that sorrounds the places, at this enjoyable activity you will spend a full day visiting the places of Pisac Archeological site, Pisac Traditional market, Awana cancha Alpaca Farm, Ollantaytambo and Chinchero. (05 Places).

Day Trip to Machu Picchu from Cusco (B) Travel to Machu Picchu with the best service in Cusco, and enjoy the guided tour with a professional and 100% local tour guide.

Altitude is the first guest
Cusco sits at 3,400 m. Higher than most flying visitors realise. Land, drink coca tea, and do nothing for the first afternoon. Tibro stages the trip Lima → Cusco → Sacred Valley (lower, at 2,800 m) → Machu Picchu (2,430 m) deliberately, so the body has 36 hours to settle before any real climbing.

There is no road to the citadel. You take PeruRail or Inca Rail from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes; tickets release 12 months ahead and the dawn-arrival slots sell out first. We book Vistadome on the up-leg (glass-roof carriages, valley running past the window) and the cheaper Expedition on the way back. By then you have other thoughts.

Chewing coca leaves or sipping mate de coca is the Andean approach to altitude. Completely legal in Peru, found at every hotel reception, and genuinely helpful. Skip the leaves on the morning of any return flight to the US or UK; trace residues can show on drug tests for up to 48 hours.

When to Go
Peru runs on two highland seasons. The dry season (May–September) is when the Inca Trail opens, the Sacred Valley sky is blue all afternoon, and Machu Picchu shows from sunrise without cloud. The wet season (October–April) brings green hills and far fewer tourists; the citadel closes briefly in February. Lima itself is a separate climate. Overcast May–November, sunny December–April.
Inca Trail permits release 6 months ahead for May–September dates; Tibro books the moment they open. Machu Picchu closes briefly in February for maintenance.
