Day 1
Welcome to Switzerland
Arrive at Zurich International Airport – clear immigration and proceed to Zurich with your private transfer. Upon arrival at the hotel, complete the check-in process and settle into your room. Take some time to relax and recover from your journey. You could take a leisurely walk along Bahnhofstrasse, one of the world’s most exclusive shopping avenues, visit the picturesque Old Town (Altstadt) filled with historic buildings, boutique shops, and cozy cafés, or simply unwind by the serene Lake Zurich and enjoy the stunning views. Day 2
Rhine Falls Boat Tour

Zurich to Interlaken
Have scrumptious breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, complete your check-out formalities and get ready for your journey to Interlaken using your Swiss Pass. Board a direct train from Zurich to Interlaken and enjoy the scenic ride through Switzerland’s breathtaking landscapes, featuring picturesque lakes, alpine meadows, and charming towns along the way. Upon arrival at Interlaken railway station, make your way to the hotel on foot. It's conveniently located close to the station. Check in and take some time to unwind and relax after your journey. Later in the evening, you can step out for a leisurely stroll through the beautiful village of Interlaken. Take in the serene atmosphere, explore the charming streets, browse local boutiques, or enjoy a coffee or dessert at one of the cozy cafés nestled between the mountains. Day 4
Mount Schilthorn With Swiss Pass
Have scrumptious breakfast at the hotel. Proceed for a full day Mount Schilthorn excursion with Swiss pass. Begin your journey by taking a train from Interlaken Ost to Lauterbrunnen, followed by a scenic postbus ride to Stechelberg, where you’ll board the aerial cableway to Mount Schilthorn. The cable car operates every 30 minutes and offers a spectacular ascent through Mürren and Birg. Your Swiss Pass covers the round-trip cable car journey as well as entry to several highlights, including the Skyline View Platform, the rotating Piz Gloria restaurant, the Spy World exhibition, and the Skyline Walk in Birg. Montreux to Zermatt
Enjoy scrumptious breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, complete your check-out formalities at the hotel and proceed to the Montreux railway station. Board a train to Zermatt using your Swiss Travel Pass. The train ride takes approximately 2 hours and offers breathtaking views of the Swiss countryside, alpine lakes, and majestic mountain landscapes along the way. Upon arrival in Zermatt, a charming car-free village nestled at the foot of the Matterhorn, make your way to your hotel. Board the train from Zermatt to Lugano which is 4 to 5 hrs journey, with one convenient change along the route. Relax and take in the stunning Swiss landscapes. Snow-capped peaks gradually giving way to the lush hills and picturesque lakes of the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland. Upon arrival at Lugano, continue your journey towards Milan. Once you reach Milan Centrale Station, you will be met by your private transfer, arranged for a smooth and comfortable ride to your hotel in the city. The Swiss Travel Pass earns its price
Buy it. The 8-day pass covers every train, boat, and most cable cars on this itinerary. Jungfraujoch and Titlis are the only big paid extras. Without it, individual tickets add up to roughly twice what the pass costs, and the convenience of skipping every ticket window is worth it on its own.

Jungfraujoch at 11,000 ft is brilliant in sun and a white-out in cloud. Same day, different hour. Move the high-altitude excursions to whichever morning the forecast looks clearest; everything else (Lucerne, Interlaken, Zurich old towns) reads fine in any weather. Check meteoblue the night before, not the week before.
Fondue is for cold months; raclette is for any month
A cheese-fondue dinner in June feels like overdressing. Order raclette instead. Same Alpine cheese tradition, melted off a half-wheel against new potatoes and pickles, eaten in any temperature. Or save the fondue for one specific evening at altitude (Schynige Platte, Männlichen) where the cold does the work for it.

Plan Your Timing
When to Go
Switzerland runs on three windows. May through September is the Alpine summer. Every cable car running, every trail open, the lakes at their bluest. December through March is the ski season; the same villages are unrecognisable under snow. The shoulders (April, October–November) are either muddy or shut. The 9-night itinerary works best mid-summer.
Avoid late April / early May (Alpine pastures still closed) and November (lake fog, museums on reduced hours). Mid-June through mid-September is the prime window.
