Day 1
Hanoi Arrival – Half Day City Tour
Welcome to Hanoi – The Capital City of Vietnam! Upon arrival, picked up by the local tour guide and transferred downtown. You can leave your luggage in the hotel, relax by your own until check in. Afternoon, you will start half day city tour to visit Ba Dinh Square, the largest square in Hanoi. This is where all of the city's biggest cultural and political events take place. We will take some photos of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum from the outside, where is the last rest place of Ho Chi Minh President. Then we continue to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university. The temple was built in 1070, and the gardens and well-preserved architecture offer a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam's past. After visiting the temple, we will walk around Hoan Kiem Lake - a picturesque lake in the heart of Hanoi. We will then take a leisurely walk around the Old Quarter where you can take beautiful pictures, freely admire the ancient beauty of historical relics as well as immerse in the busy life of locals in there, a fascinating network of narrow alleys and shophouses. The Old Quarter is also known as "The 36 Streets," as each street is named after the merchandise that was traditionally sold there. Back to hotel, overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2
Hanoi – Ninh Binh – Tam Coc – Hoa Lu – Hanoi
Have breakfast at hotel. In the morning, you will be picked up hotel with our tour guide and start your journey to Ninh Binh, the site of the one capital city of ancient Vietnam before Hanoi took its leading role in 11th century. The area is featured by lots of well-known sceneries, which include Tam Coc Caves and Hoa Lu ancient capital with the old temples dedicated to King Dinh & King Le reigned in 10th century. Your sightseeing will be started in Tam Coc with an embarkation on a rowing boat trip gliding gently on Ngo Dong river to visit Tam Coc or “Three Caves”. The signature of the trip is not lying at the Caves but the journey itself when you contemplate the picturesque scenery, the shade of the mountain reflected on the river. During the harvest season, the rice field will be like the golden carpets seen from above. Traveling during this time, you can even smell the scent of the new rice and feel happy inside when seeing the happy smiles of the famers on their field. Then continue visiting Bich Dong Pagoda situated on a mountainside consisting of 3 separated pagodas located from low to high. Return Hanoi in the afternoon, stop to visit the temples of King Dinh and Kinh Le, two historical sites built in 17th century in Hoa Lu ancient capital, dedicated two emperors who made great contributions the country’s development in the past. Back to Hotel, overnight in Hanoi.
Day 3
Hanoi – Halong Bay – Overnight on Cruise
Breakfast at the hotel, then check out. In the morning, you will be picked up at your hotel and transferred to Ha Long Bay, the pride of the Gulf of Tonkin, a Natural World Heritage as recognized by UNESCO in 1994 and 2006. Upon arrival at the Cruise Port, you will enjoy a warm welcome from cruise staff and complete the check-in procedure for the overnight cruise to discover the magnificent beauty of this "Descending Dragon" bay, created by thousands of odd-shaped limestone rocks and karst grottoes. After a lunch on board, we can visit the Grottos, stop for swimming or kayaking, pass floating houses, and approach islets to enjoy their beauty in close proximity. Later in the afternoon, go back to the cruise and enjoy the cooking demonstration before having dinner. In the evening, attend activities on the boat or relax at your own leisure. Overnight on the cruise.
Day 4
Halong – Hanoi
You should wake up early to enjoy the dawn on the sea in the early morning. The Vietnamese call the "East Sea" by a point-oriented name "Eastern Sea", so you may guess how miraculous seeing the sunrise over the islets of the Bay. After breakfast our boat will continue to cruise in marvelous areas, where almost each islet has its own name, adopting its shape or reminiscent like Sail Island, Fisherman’s head rock, Butterfly rock or Turtle islet etc. Check out your room and have brunch on board while the cruise coming back the pier. Disembark from the cruise. After that, drive to Hanoi (Without tour guide). Check in Hotel and overnight in Hanoi.
Day 5
Hanoi Departure[B]
Breakfast at the hotel. Time at leisure until check-out, and transfer to the airport with a driver only (no guide) for the departure flight back to your sweet home. ***END OF TOUR*** LAND TOUR PACKAGE, QUOTED IN USD PER PERSON (*)

Vietnam is long enough that the weather rarely agrees with itself. When Hanoi is cold and drizzling in January, Saigon is dry and 32 degrees, and Da Nang in the middle does its own thing. Pack for two countries and don't trust a single national forecast.
Crossing the road in Hanoi
The motorbikes don't stop, so you don't wait for a gap. You step off the kerb and walk at a slow, steady pace without flinching, and the scooters flow around you. Hesitating mid-stream is what gets people clipped. Commit and keep moving; the locals will tell you the same.

When to Go
Vietnam's length makes one rule impossible, but the broad window is October to April, when the country is at its driest and coolest. The southern beaches. Phu Quoc, Saigon. Hold dry through April; the centre around Da Nang and Hoi An floods September to November; the north, Hanoi and Sapa, is cold and misty December to February but clear. June to August is the hot, wet monsoon in the south and centre.
