Once a senior team is up on the Dhauladhar ridge there is no city to slip back into and no reason to reach for a phone, so strategy sessions run longer and land deeper. The Tibetan-Buddhist calm of McLeodganj gives a genuine reset that a beach or a city hotel cannot manufacture.
The quickest route is a ~1.5-hour flight from Delhi into Gaggal (Kangra), Dharamshala's own airport, then a ~1.5-hour drive up to the resort belt, so a national team can be on the ridge by lunch. The alternate is a flight to Chandigarh and a scenic drive up, which we use when Gaggal schedules or weather do not suit.
It is at its best for 15 to 120: leadership cohorts, senior sales teams and CXO retreats. The Hyatt and RK Sarovar blocks handle the larger end with parallel halls, while Naddi-ridge properties suit intimate 20 to 40 senior groups. It is deliberately not a several-thousand-delegate congress destination.
March to June and September to November: clear Dhauladhar views, comfortable 15–28°C days and open trails for the Triund trek. July and August bring the monsoon, which lowers rates but closes in the views and trails, so we keep those dates to indoor strategy formats. Winter is possible but cold, with snow a factor at the higher ridges.
We always run it as a choice, not a mandate. Those who want the climb do the full Triund day with guides; those who do not take the gentler Bhagsu waterfall walk, and both groups converge for a hilltop lunch. Nobody is left out and nobody is pushed beyond what they are comfortable with.
