    Egypt,
    by the Nile.

A journey built around Cairo and a four-night Nile cruise. Giza at first light, Karnak in the cool of the morning, Abu Simbel at dawn.

Preface, on the country at the start of recorded history

Egypt is the country at the start of recorded history. Cairo for the museum and the pyramids; Luxor and Aswan for the four-night Nile cruise; Abu Simbel for the dawn-light tour. Two Cairo days, four Nile cruise, one Abu Simbel. Best between October and April for the cooler dry-season touring.

    A small note
    on how we work.

Tibro has been routing Egypt since 2019. Six years of Cairo museum days, Nile cruise weeks, and the Abu Simbel dawn-light tours that are the trip's quietest hour.

We work with a Cairo-based partner desk who handles the Egyptologist guides and the Nile cruise boat-and-cabin allocations.

One route is what we offer. Adding a second only when we have walked it ourselves; the Cairo-and-Nile seven-night is the one we maintain, and we route the cruise in the middle so the trip closes on Abu Simbel as the deepest point.

Cairo & Nile cruise, seven nights, January 2024

Two Cairo, four Nile, one Aswan. Our Egyptologist guide turned the Karnak hypostyle hall into a ninety-minute monologue we did not want to end. The Abu Simbel dawn-light tour at five forty-five was the trip's most quiet hour. The Cairo Museum the studio routed with the same guide on day two made the Nile temples make sense.

Egypt & Red Sea, ten nights, March 2024

Classic Egypt then three Red Sea nights at a reef-hotel. The wreck-snorkelling morning the studio booked was the Red Sea complement to the Nile temples. The right two halves of the country.

    Tell us how many
nights, and whether the Red Sea.

Two questions decide an Egypt trip: how many nights, and whether to add a Red Sea reef-week on the back of the classic Cairo-and-Nile route.
