    Philippines,
    by the islands.

Two island-hop journeys built around Palawan and Boracay. El Nido lagoons at first light, a Coron wreck-dive afternoon, a Boracay sunset to close.

Preface, on the archipelago of seven thousand islands

Phe Philippines is an archipelago of seven thousand islands. Palawan in the west for the lagoons and the wreck-dives, Boracay in the centre for the white-sand sunsets, Cebu for the heritage. Three Palawan days, two Boracay, two for the second island. Best between November and April for the dry season; the typhoons blow through June to October.

    A small note
    on how we work.

Tibro has been routing the Philippines since 2019. Six years of Palawan lagoons, Boracay sunsets, and the three-island sweeps that travellers come back wanting to repeat.

We work with a Manila-based partner who handles the inter-island flights and the boat-day arrangements.

Two routes is what we currently maintain. The Palawan-and-Boracay eight-night is the most-requested; we route Palawan first because the lagoon mornings are the trip's loudest and the Boracay sunsets close it gently.

Palawan & Boracay, eight nights, February 2024

Five Palawan nights split between El Nido and Coron, three Boracay. The Big Lagoon at six in the morning with a private boat was the trip's loudest silence. The only sounds were our paddles and the cormorants. The Boracay end was the right kind of slowing.

Palawan, Boracay, Cebu. Three different paces. The Cebu whale-shark morning at Oslob the studio routed with an ethical operator was the responsible-tourism note that mattered to us.

    Tell us how many
    islands.

Two questions decide a Philippines trip: how many islands, and which window. November to April for the dry season.
